DPI Society for Transport Infrastructure Maribor invites you to a professional study trip to the Netherlands, organised in cooperation with Oliver Tourism Agency. The excursion will offer participants the opportunity to gain specialist knowledge in the fields of flood protection, port logistics, sustainable mobility, public transport, traffic management and innovative transport solutions.

EXCURSION PROGRAMME
DAY 1 (Saturday, 7 March 2026)
SLOVENIA – ZAGREB – DELTA PROJECT – ROTTERDAM
Departure from Zagreb Airport at 08:25 and flight to Amsterdam (arrival 10:30). Transfer to Rotterdam and a professional visit to the Maeslantkering complex (Delta Works), presenting the flood-protection system of barriers, levees and computer-controlled management developed after the 1953 floods. This is followed by a tour of the port of Rotterdam (by bus and boat), with a focus on logistics and intermodality. Transfer to Amsterdam, check-in, dinner and overnight stay.
DAY 2 (Sunday, 8 March 2026)
AMSTERDAM – ZAANSE SCHANS – AMSTERDAM
After breakfast, transfer by public transport to Amsterdam Centraal railway station. Visit to the bicycle parking garage at the station (capacity up to 7,000 bicycles). Cycling tour on the Amsterdam – Zaanse Schans – Amsterdam route, with on-site presentation of cycling infrastructure, intersections, safety and connectivity between settlements. Tram ride (vintage tram). Return to hotel and free time. Overnight stay.
DAY 3 (Monday, 9 March 2026)
AMSTERDAM – DELFT – AMSTERDAM
Travel to Amsterdam Centraal and a professional visit to the traffic management centre, with a presentation of the city's mobility management system. Train journey to Delft. Visit to TU Delft, Faculty of Civil Engineering. Lunch, followed by a return train journey to Amsterdam. Canal boat ride through Amsterdam. Free time. Overnight stay.
DAY 4 (Tuesday, 10 March 2026)
AMSTERDAM
After breakfast, a full-day visit to the international INTERTRAFFIC 2026 trade fair, the leading event in the field of intelligent transport systems, traffic safety and infrastructure. Meetings with exhibitors and presentations of innovative technologies and solutions. Attendance at technical lectures and expert round tables. Overnight stay.
DAY 5 (Wednesday, 11 March 2026)
AMSTERDAM – ZAGREB – MARIBOR
After breakfast, transfer to Amsterdam Schiphol Airport. Flight to Zagreb at 11:20 with arrival at 13:10. Conclusion of the professional study trip.

Price includes: return flights with Croatia Airlines including checked baggage up to 23 kg and cabin baggage up to 8 kg; 4 nights with breakfast at a 3-star hotel in double rooms; guided exterior visits as per programme; canal boat ride; Delta Project museum visit; Rotterdam port tour; 2 meals; bicycle rental; tourist escort and trip organisation; VAT.
