What we collect and why
Contact form
If you write to us through the contact form, we process your name, email address and the content of your message. We use the data solely to reply to you. The legal basis is your consent, given by sending the message (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). Messages are kept for as long as needed to resolve your enquiry and no longer than one year.
Membership application
If you apply for membership, we process the type of membership, your name, company or organisation, position, email address, phone number, postal address and your message. We need this data to handle the application and to keep the register of members, as required by the Slovenian Societies Act and the society's statutes. Members' data is kept for the duration of membership and for five years after it ends, where accounting and tax rules require it.
Email updates
We send news about the society's events and activities only to those who have explicitly opted in through a separate checkbox. You can withdraw your consent at any time by writing to info@dpi-maribor.si; withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing before it.
Who processes data on our behalf
Both forms are technically relayed by FormSubmit (formsubmit.co), which forwards the submitted data to our email address and does not store it permanently. Our email is hosted by the hosting provider of the dpi-maribor.si domain. We do not sell your data or pass it on to third parties for their own purposes.
Cookies
The website uses two kinds of cookies or similar browser records:
- Strictly necessary records (browser local storage): your cookie choice (
dpi-cookies) and accessibility settings such as dark theme and text size (dpi-theme,dpi-fontscale,dpi-underline). They contain no personal data, never leave your device and require no consent. - Google Analytics cookies (
_ga,_ga_*; up to 2 years): anonymous visit statistics that tell us which content is useful to visitors. They are loaded only after you accept them in the cookie notice. The data is processed by Google Ireland Ltd.; IP addresses are anonymised in Google Analytics 4.
You can change your choice at any time: open cookie settings. You can also delete cookies in your browser settings.
Your rights
You may at any time request access to your personal data, its rectification or erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and withdraw your consent. Send your request to info@dpi-maribor.si. If you believe we process your data unlawfully, you may lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner of the Republic of Slovenia, Dunajska cesta 22, 1000 Ljubljana, www.ip-rs.si.
