Sustainable green mobility

The professional conference Sustainable green mobility took place on 21 May 2026 at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering and Architecture of the University of Maribor. Experts in energy, railway infrastructure, public passenger transport and local mobility presented solutions for the transition to low-carbon and sustainable mobility. The discussion addressed the electrification of vehicle fleets and railway lines, the development of renewable energy sources, multipurpose transport infrastructure, measures to tackle transport poverty, and the development of energy communities. The conference brought together state institutions, local communities and the economy with the aim of accelerating the green transition in transport across north-east Slovenia. The event was moderated by Dr Samo Peter Medved.
